An unexpected gift
by Louise D'Allura on May 15th, 2014

Each month I take time out to watch at least two TED talks because I love the perspective, inspiration, learning and ideas they provide – far more interesting than TV!

I wanted to share with you a brilliant TED video – you can watch in under 5 minutes featuring Stacey Kramer.  It is only 3:15 minutes long and it is brilliant.

Stacey is co-founder of Brandplay, a brand strategy firm.  In her TED talk she doesn’t share how to create a brand/ strategy for business.  Rather she shares the lessons that a ‘gift’ had on her life.

I found it so powerful and moving and a great reminder when we get stuck in the day to day and overwhelmed how sometimes our troubles force us to stop and take notice of what's going on around us.

She shows us that the next time we face something that's unexpected, unwanted, and uncertain, to consider that it just may be a gift – one that has the power to change our life.

I hope you love it too.

Here is the link to the video incase it doesn't play below.

Awesome Louise, thanks for sharing and echos one of my favourite quotes:
'Every adversity is the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.' credited to Napoleon Hill
In my opinion well worth every second of the 195 seconds it takes to watch.

Gosh that is a great quote Debra! While we don't appreciate what's going on in the moment it is great to look at how it changes.

A good friend of mine Cass Russell from Cass Russell Consulting had another quote:
“Circumstances are beyond human control, but our conduct is in our own power” - Benjamin Disraeli
PROFOUND isn't it?

thanks for taking the time to read and share.
Louise ;)
